PPR pipes can be used around compressor installations mainly for cooling-water and utility-water systems, but they are generally not recommended for high-pressure compressed-air discharge lines unless the specific PPR system is manufacturer-approved for that service.
Common applications include:
Compressor cooling-water supply and return
Cooling tower/chilled-water connections
Process and utility water distribution
Condensate/drainage lines, where chemically and thermally suitable
Connections to air compressors, dryers and ancillary equipment
For the compressed-air line, use a piping system specifically rated for the compressor's working pressure, temperature, and air service.
